Like most West African countries, Nigeria experiences a dry summer season, shouldered by very wet seasons, it’s the winter dry season when the weather is at its most pleasant. The peak tourist season to travel to Lagos is between December and March, and it is best to buy your tickets to Lagos early if coming at this time of year. Major Airports in Labuan City

Labuan Airport (LBU) is located approximately 5 miles to the north of the city centre of Labuan. It has the capacity to handle up to 1.2 million passengers annually, but only about half that many have been travelling through the airport in recent years. The facilities are currently being expanded to handle larger aircraft.

Airport Transportation in Labuan City

Although there is no bus to Labuan City Airport, you can rent a car or take a taxi. Taking a taxi to Labuan City Airport is the easiest option, and it is available 24 hours a day. The prices are reasonable and fixed based on where you are coming from on the island. There is also a ferry available from the mainland to a terminal in the city, which is about 3 hours from Kota Kinabalu and 1 hour from Brunei or Menumbok. At present, there is no train to Labuan City Airport.
