Plan Your Chengdu Visit

There are countless reasons to travel to Chengdu. Marvel at the Leshan Giant Buddha, the world’s largest Buddha statue, cut directly into a wall of red rock. Wander through the Huanglong Scenic Area considered by some to be "A Fairyland on Earth.” Get lost in Chengdu history in one of its many ancient towns. Indulge in a Chinese feast provided by one of Chengdu’s renowned restaurants. Be enthralled at a Sichuanese opera performance.

The peak season in Chengdu runs from March through May. We recommend you reserve your tickets to Chengdu several months in advance if you wish to travel during this busy part of the year. To find cheap hotels in Chengdu, consider travelling in the off-season (December through February) when weather conditions are not as sunny but crowds much smaller. Major Airports in Ireland

Ireland features four international airports and seven regional airports, though the relatively modest size of the Isle limits the need for domestic air travel. Of Ireland’s approximately 4.5 million inhabitants, roughly a third live within the city of Dublin and the surrounding areas, so it comes as no surprise that Dublin Airport (DUB) is the primary airport for international and domestic air travel. Opened in 1940, Dublin Airport’s two terminals service in excess of 19 million passengers each year.

Airport Transportation in Ireland

Dublin Airport is located just 10 kilometres from Dublin city centre, and is serviced by over 1,000 buses and coaches each day. Travellers can take the bus to Dublin Airport and into the city for a modest ticket price. The trip takes approximately half an hour, depending on traffic. A taxi to Dublin Airport is also available, though at greater cost with no real change in travel time. At the present time, there are no direct trains to Dublin Airport.
