Gaborone and its surrounding areas are served by Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE), which handles international and regional flights out of the city. The airport is located 9 miles north of Gaborone city centre and has one terminal building. Refreshments can be purchased within the terminal. Other services offered by the airport are luggage storage, luggage shrink-wrap, banks, a post office, duty-free shops, and car rental agencies.

Airport Transportation in Gaborone

Travel to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport is easy because of its close proximity to Gaborone’s city centre. Several options for transport are available depending on your budget and tastes. A number of hotels operate minibus shuttles to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport and the trip takes approximately 15 minutes. Please note there is currently no regular bus or train to the airport. A taxi to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport also takes about 15 minutes.
