Plan Your Jakarta Holiday

Jakarta is a popular tourist destination for plenty of reasons. You can visit the places of worship, historic ports, arts centres, amusement parks and botanic gardens. The Portuguese Church and Sejarah Jakarta Museum attract a lot of tourists throughout the year. Those who have passion for arts will enjoy a unique experience in the Balai Seni Rupa Fine Arts Museum.

The dry season months, from July to October, are the peak tourist season. We recommend that you book your tickets to Jakarta in advance if you are planning to travel to Jakarta during the peak season. To find cheap hotels in Jakarta, it is advisable to travel during the off-peak season when temperatures are cooler. Christmas, Ramadan and other religious holidays are the right times to find the best deals and see the true Jakarta. Visit our Deals section to find superb flight deals to Jakarta all year round.

Major Airports in Freetown

Freetown is served by the Lungi International Airport (FNA). The airport is located in Lungi, just across the Sierra Leone River from Freetown. Its terminal building is divided into three sections; a General Waiting Hall, a Departures Wing, and an Arrivals Wing. The airport offers many services for your travelling convenience, including ticketing desks for local ground transportation, a post office, a travel agency, a restaurant and an information desk with a lost and found area.

Airport Transportation in Freetown

The Sierra Leone River separates Lungi International Airport from Freetown, so getting a bus or train to Lungi International Airport are not options for passenger transport. Instead, passengers must take a water taxi to Lungi International Airport. The water taxis are a little bigger than a speedboat and will get you to the airport from Freetown in about 30 minutes. As the water taxis can often be crowded we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. Other options for transport to Lungi International Airport are the ferry, helicopter or hovercraft.

Choose Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, for flights from Freetown to Jakarta on which you will be travelling in comfort and style.
