Air travel in Cork is handled primarily by Cork Airport (ORK), which serves over two million local and international travellers a year. It is located to the south of the city and offers passengers facilities such as modern shopping and eating outlets, an executive lounge and free Wi-Fi. There are two hotels close to the passenger terminal.

Airport Transportation in Cork

Cork Airport is conveniently located just 8 km from Cork city centre. Several different bus lines provide a bus to Cork Airport from a number of stations throughout the city. A taxi to Cork Airport can also be hired from anywhere in the city for greater flexibility. While there is no direct train to Cork Airport, Irish Rail maintains several lines to Cork’s Kent Railway Station, and provides a shuttle service from the station to the Parnell Place bus station, which then provides a shuttle service to the airport.
