Like most West African countries, Nigeria experiences a dry summer season, shouldered by very wet seasons, it’s the winter dry season when the weather is at its most pleasant. The peak tourist season to travel to Lagos is between December and March, and it is best to buy your tickets to Lagos early if coming at this time of year. Cheap hotels in Lagos are easy to find from April to July, when the weather is warm, but the rain is heavy. Flight deals to Lagos can be found year round with our Deals section.

Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (MLE), more commonly known as Malé International Airport, is located on Hulhulé Island and is the largest airport in the Maldives. It is only 2.5 km from the capital city of Malé. It offers passengers a first floor lounge with satellite TV and Internet access along with fax and telephone services. There is also a bank, a post office, restaurants and many shops including a pharmacy and a duty free.

As the Maldives is made up of a string of islands there is no train or bus to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport. You may be able to take a taxi to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, but they are fairly limited on the island so you may have to book in advance.
