Major Airports in Vientiane

The Wattay International Airport (WOL) is one of the few international airports in Vientiane. The airport has modern amenities and lies a few kilometres from Vientiane. The airport’s facilities include everything you may need while you wait for your flight including a bank, restaurants, a post office in case you need to send some last-minute mail, and an Internet cafe for you to catch up with the rest of the world.

Airport Transportation in Vientiane

There are a number of ways to travel to Wattay International Airport. Travellers may not be able take a bus to Wattay International Airport but there are tuk-tuks which are auto rickshaws that tend to be the cheapest mode of transport. You can also catch a taxi to Wattay International Airport which will drop you off at a taxi rank right next to the airport. Unfortunately there is no train to Wattay International Airport.
