Major Airports in Lebanon

Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) offers flights from the city of Beirut. The airport has a single terminal which has two wings, the East Wing and the West Wing. Joined by the main terminal to create a u-shaped building, the main terminal is the location of most of the duty free and other shops along with lounges and a restaurant. It also has a three-level car park.

In Tripoli, flights leave Rene Mouawad Air Base (KYE). The airport, sometimes simply called Kleyate Airport, is located close to the town of Kleyate as well as being only 6 km from the Lebanese-Syrian border.

Airport Transportation in Lebanon

The only option for transportation is to get a taxi to Beirut-Rafic Hariri Airport, with a typical journey time of 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Transportation to Kleyate Airport from Kleyate city centre is available by taxi. There is no train to Kleyate Airport, but the bus to Kleyate Airport is usually a much more affordable option.
