Arriving in Shanghai

Book your flights to Shanghai with Etihad Airways and get ready to discover a bustling modern city of contrast, culture and commerce.

Plan Your Shanghai Holiday

There are numerous reasons to travel to Shanghai. The diversity of choice covers theatre, shopping, sightseeing and cultural pursuits; Shanghai wants you to discover what it has to show. A heady mix of towering skyscrapers, an iconic harbour, and an energetic fusion of east and west, longstanding, and contemporary with a dash of modernity, is Shanghai.

The peak seasons in Shanghai cover April to May and September to October. The city can get very crowded, especially for the main attractions. We advise that you reserve your tickets to Shanghai several months in advance for either of these two periods. During the off-peak season temperatures can reach 35 degrees Celsius and the humidity can sometimes become a little over-powering. In the winter temperatures rarely exceed 10 degrees. Not surprisingly, these are the best times to find cheap hotels in Shanghai. The city is also significantly less crowded with no loss of spark or allure. Flying from Romania

Book your flights from Romania to hundreds of destinations worldwide with Etihad Airways and experience the best in luxury, customer service, and convenience.

Major Airports In Romania

By far the most prominent airport in Romania is Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP), which as of 2012 recorded over 7 million passengers annually. Used as an airbase by the German air force in 1965, Henri Coanda International Airport was not originally Romania’s primary commercial airliner hub. However, a massive runway extension in 1965 of up to 3,500 metres, the longest in Europe at that time, secured its position as Romania’s premier international travel centre.

Airport Transportation In Romania

Located a modest 16km from the centre of Bucharest, journeys to the airport are quick and convenient. You can catch a train to Henri Coanda International Airport from Bucharest’s main railway station, Gara de Nord. Be sure to allow approximately 30 minutes for the journey. A bus to Henri Coanda International Airport is also available at the Gara de Nord railway station. A taxi to Henri Coanda International Airport can be hailed at the railway station as well, though this may not be the most economical option available to travellers.
