Arriving in Shanghai

Book your flights to Shanghai with Etihad Airways and get ready to discover a bustling modern city of contrast, culture and commerce.

Plan Your Shanghai Holiday

There are numerous reasons to travel to Shanghai. The diversity of choice covers theatre, shopping, sightseeing and cultural pursuits; Shanghai wants you to discover what it has to show. A heady mix of towering skyscrapers, an iconic harbour, and an energetic fusion of east and west, longstanding, and contemporary with a dash of modernity, is Shanghai.

The peak seasons in Shanghai cover April to May and September to October. The city can get very crowded, especially for the main attractions. We advise that you reserve your tickets to Shanghai several months in advance for either of these two periods. During the off-peak season temperatures can reach 35 degrees Celsius and the humidity can sometimes become a little over-powering. In the winter temperatures rarely exceed 10 degrees. Not surprisingly, these are the best times to find cheap hotels in Shanghai. The city is also significantly less crowded with no loss of spark or allure. Major Airports in Oman

Muscat International Airport (MCT), also called Seeb International Airport, is the largest airport in Oman. It is situated 32 km from Muscat city centre and welcomes eight million visitors a year. It offers a wide array of eating establishments from quick and easy to a full service restaurant. The airport features a great selection of high-end shops. It also offers free Wi-Fi to passengers and a currency exchange. Another airport in Oman is Salalah Airport (SLL), which is much smaller and serves the resort area of Oman.

Airport Transportation in Oman

The transportation infrastructure in Oman is quite good and is expected to improve further with a proposed rail link, which would enable passengers to take a train to Muscat International Airport. There are also several bus lines so taking a bus to Muscat International Airport is relatively easy. As always, if you require more room and do not mind paying a little extra you can always take a private taxi to Muscat International Airport.

Interested in Shanghai? Consider Al Ain

With your flights to Al Ain on Etihad Airways, you will find yourself in the beautiful Garden City where you’ll feel a distant past and return to embrace modernity all with the course of a few minutes. This land encompasses the spirit of the Emirates and preserves an ancient heritage that has earned it the designation as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Plan your Al Ain Holiday

There are a thousand reasons to travel to Al Ain: explore its modern roads in search of the most original sculptures, walk its green gardens in stark contrast to the desert that surrounds the city, look for a bargain in the old bazaar, step through the doors of its fortresses and into the past, or brave the desert sands on a camel in search of Qattara.

If you’re thinking of buying some tickets to Al Ain, keep in mind that the time preferred by residents of the nearby Abu Dhabi is the summer, so it will be harder to find flights and cheap hotels in Al Ain. It would be wise to consider a visit during the winter season when there are excellent flight deals to Al Ain and temperatures are milder.
