Arriving in Amman

Book one of Etihad Airways’ flights to Amman and prepare for a truly memorable experience. This city will captivate you with its energy initially and then gradually reveal its most spectacular qualities through its historic monuments and museums.

Plan Your Amman Holiday

There are many reasons to travel to Amman but one of the best is that this city was and continues to be an amazing melting pot of cultures. You can find remains from the Bronze Age and traces of the Romans or you can visit one of the most attractive and mysterious places in the world: Petra. Amman does not only have museums, temples and archaeological sites, though. Its modern character is revealed through events like the Jordan Rally, the motor race that takes place in the Jordan Valley.

In fact, the calendar of events that are celebrated in the city and surrounding areas is so extensive that it is not always easy to find cheap hotels in Amman. Accordingly, we recommend that you book in advance and that you do not miss Etihad Airways’ flight deals to Amman. Finding tickets to Amman at good prices is easier during the winter low season of October to March.

Major Airports in Washington D.C.

Local and International flights into Washington D.C. are primarily serviced by three major airports in the district. The closest and most convenient of these is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), which is located a mere 4.8 km from city centre. The airport opened in 1941 and was a replacement for Hoover Field, an airport so small that its runways crossed city streets, and had to be manned by guards to halt automobile traffic during plane landing and take-off.

Airport Transportation in Washington D.C.

The most convenient ground transport option is the train to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, provided by the Washington Metro Yellow and Blue lines. A bus to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is available when the train is not running. If you need greater timing flexibility, you can also hail a taxi to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, though at a greater cost than the other available alternatives.

Choose Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, for flights from Washington to Amman on which you will be travelling in comfort and style.
