Lagos is one of the largest cities in all of Africa and the Port of Lagos is one of the busiest in Africa as well. Like most West African countries, Nigeria experiences a dry summer season, shouldered by very wet seasons, it’s the winter dry season when the weather is at its most pleasant. The peak tourist season to travel to Lagos is between December and March, and it is best to buy your tickets to Lagos early if coming at this time of year. Major Airports in Makassar

Makassar and the surrounding region are served by the Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG). Located approximately 17 km from the city centre, the airport serves as the main gateway to all of eastern Indonesia. Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport was built to accommodate 7 million travellers a year, and has already surpassed that number. The airport has one civilian terminal, built in 2008, with shops and services for your convenience and comfort. The old terminal now houses the Indonesian Air force.

Airport Transportation in Makassar

It is possible to catch an airport shuttle bus to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport and the ride will take approximately 15 minutes. You may also hire a taxi to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. Rates will vary according to the company, but the ride to the airport using this method will also take about 15 minutes. There is currently no train to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport.
