Major Airports in Rochester

Rochester Municipal Airport (RST) is the city of Rochester’s primary airport and since 1995 has been officially known as Rochester International Airport. It is located approximately 7 miles from downtown Rochester and was originally founded by the Mayo Foundation, and had a change of location in 1960. The airport is small and basic, but food and drink can be found for those waiting for their flights and for those waiting for friends or family to arrive. There is also free Wi-Fi service provided in the main passenger terminal.

Airport Transportation in Rochester

A taxi to the Rochester International Airport is the easiest option and will provide door-to-door pick-up and drop-off service. It is also however, the most expensive option. Hotels often provide shuttle bus to Rochester International Airport, but you must confirm in advance with the hotel. Cars can be rented to reach the airport easily. As of now there is no train to Rochester International Airport from the city.
