Arriving in Beirut

Book your flights to Beirut with Etihad Airways and discover the charms of the city that has come to be regarded as "the Switzerland of the Middle East." Beaches for relaxation, a lively nightlife, and the traces of the past are combined to form a single picture.

Plan Your Beirut Visit

To travel to Beirut is to plunge into ancient history: at the National Museum you can get a close look at Phoenician culture, in the Cilicia Museum you will learn about Armenian customs, and on Serail Hill you will find monuments inspired by Ottoman architecture. Beirut is not just about history, however, because it also has a myriad of bars, cafes, and pubs in Gemmayzeh.

Buying tickets to Beirut also will allow you to practice your swing on the golf courses, shop at the more than 200 stalls of its souk, and take a photo of the incredible Pigeons’ Rock, two huge rocks that emerge from the depths of the Mediterranean. If you decide to take advantage of the flight deals to Beirut during the summer, you also can enjoy the weekly One Big Sunday beach concerts. Make your reservations early to find cheap hotels in Beirut for these dates.

Major Airports in Hong Kong

Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) is located in Chek Lap Kok, an island reclaimed from the sea for the purpose of building the airport. When it opened in 1998 it boasted the largest passenger terminal in the world. It is just over 30 kilometres from downtown Hong Kong – a short distance by many international airport standards. Passengers feel at home in the airport thanks to the Airport Ambassador Programme, a team of staff that offer assistance, information and promote passenger safety.

Airport Transportation in Hong Kong

The Airport Express (AE) train to Hong Kong Airport is the quickest option, with only three stops from Hong Kong station. It takes 24 minutes and trains leave every 10-12 minutes.

A cheaper alternative is to take a bus to Hong Kong Airport. From central Kowloon it takes 45-50 minutes, but passengers can also depart from various central locations on Hong Kong Island to the airport with a journey time of 50-65 minutes. A taxi to Hong Kong Airport will take around 30 minutes.
