Major Airports in Yemen

There are two major airports in Yemen, one in the capital and the other in Aden. Sana'a International Airport (SAH) is located about 13km from the city centre and has Wi-Fi areas, shops, and small restaurants. Aden International Airport (ADE), also is near the city, is a mere 10km from the downtown area, and although small, is an attractive option if you plan to stay near the coast.

Airport Transportation in Yemen

There are buses to Sana'a International Airport that circulate on a regular basis. If you prefer to reduce your travel time, you can always take a taxi to Sana'a International Airport and secure extra luggage space.

You can’t take a train to Sana'a International Airport, but more options are available for travellers considering the other airport. There is also a bus to Aden International Airport, which is inexpensive and makes frequent trips back and forth creating lots of availability.

Finally, a traveler to Mandalay can take the whole family to Yadanabon Zoological Gardens to see more than 300 different species of animals, including Burmese Roofed Turtles.
