Arriving in Shanghai

Book your flights to Shanghai with Etihad Airways and get ready to discover a bustling modern city of contrast, culture and commerce.

Plan Your Shanghai Holiday

There are numerous reasons to travel to Shanghai. The diversity of choice covers theatre, shopping, sightseeing and cultural pursuits; Shanghai wants you to discover what it has to show. A heady mix of towering skyscrapers, an iconic harbour, and an energetic fusion of east and west, longstanding, and contemporary with a dash of modernity, is Shanghai.

The peak seasons in Shanghai cover April to May and September to October. The city can get very crowded, especially for the main attractions. We advise that you reserve your tickets to Shanghai several months in advance for either of these two periods. During the off-peak season temperatures can reach 35 degrees Celsius and the humidity can sometimes become a little over-powering. In the winter temperatures rarely exceed 10 degrees. Not surprisingly, these are the best times to find cheap hotels in Shanghai. The city is also significantly less crowded with no loss of spark or allure. Major Airports in Uganda

There are 46 airports in Uganda, but only 5 feature paved runways. The primary airport for international travel is Entebbe International Airport (EBB), which was built in 1928 and was originally used by English RAF Reconnaissance biplanes. Since that time, Entebbe International Airport has grown considerably, servicing over 1.2 million international travellers each year.

Airport Transportation in Uganda

Entebbe International Airport is located on the shores of Lake Victoria, one of the African Great Lakes, and is approximately 41km southwest of Kampala, Uganda’s capital and largest city. While there is not a bus to Entebbe International Airport, there is a good selection of taxis available. We recommend obtaining a ‘Special Hire’ taxi to Entebbe International Airport, which can get you to there, from Kampala, in just under 45 minutes. There is currently no train to Entebbe International Airport.
