The one and only major airport is located north-west of the Albanian capital, Tirana. Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa (TIA), which owes its name to the world-renowned Albanian born nun, is located just 25 km from the city centre and has been updated to become a thoroughly modern installation, fully prepared to accommodate the increasing flow of tourists expected in the coming years.

Airport Transportation in Albania

There is a bus to Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa with a direct service which departs hourly from the National Museum. If you need to leave after 6:00 in the evening or before 6:00 in the morning, you will have to take a taxi to Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa. The journey normally takes around 20 minutes and the fare should be reasonable. There is no train to Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa.
