Major Airports in Lexington

Blue Grass Airport (LEX) is the largest airport in Lexington and serves over a million visitors a year. It provides passengers with a children’s play area, first aid facilities, postal services and an information centre. It also provides free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal. There are several places to pick up that gift you may have forgotten including a convenience store, a bookstore, and art gallery and a duty free. There are also two full service restaurants and numerous cafes for a quick bite.

Airport Transportation in Lexington

From the Transit Center on Vine Street in the heart of downtown you can take a bus to Blue Grass Airport. The bus runs every hour and ten minutes from 6:30 am to 6:10 pm. The trip takes roughly 23 minutes. Currently there is no train to Bluegrass Airport. Taking a taxi to Blue Grass Airport is definitely worth considering if you are taking extra baggage with you on your trip.
