Major Airports in Slovakia

The largest airport in Slovakia is M. R. Stefanik Airport (BTS). There are several shops and restaurants and free Wi-Fi at the departures terminal. People departing from the airport can also purchase clear bags for liquids from a plastic bag machine. Once past the public waiting area there are more shops including a chocolate shop and a souvenir shop for those last minute gifts. The second largest airport is Kosice International Airport (KSC); it welcomes almost one million people a year.

Airport Transportation in Slovakia

There is a regular bus to M. R. Stefanik Airport from Bratislava city centre. This is bus number 61, or if travelling at night, N61. Although you cannot take a train to M. R. Stefanik Airport the number 61 bus departs from the central railway station. If you are flying out of Kosice you can take bus number 23 directly to the airport. You can also take a taxi to M. R. Stefanik Airport or Kosice International if you don’t mind the added cost.
