Major Airports in Denmark

Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is the primary international airport with flights leaving Denmark to many destinations worldwide. Found on one of Denmark’s many islands, Amager, the airport is only 24 km from the city centre. Of its four terminals, two handle international flights while the CPH terminal is reserved for low cost carriers. There are 8,600 parking spaces available, which can be reserved ahead of your scheduled flight.

Aalborg Airport (AAL) is in Norresundby, 6.5 km from Aalborg city where passengers can take international flights out of Denmark.

Airport Transportation in Denmark

For those leaving out on international flights, you can take a train to Copenhagen Airport, Terminal 3. The Copenhagen Metro’s M2 line runs from the city centre to the airport. Passengers can easily catch a bus to Copenhagen Airport from a number of stops throughout the area. Whether you take the bus or the train, the trip to the airport takes about 20 minutes. From Aalborg city centre, a bus or taxi to Aalborg Airport takes about 10 minutes.
