Trains to Bandaranaike Airport can be accessed using the Airport Express Rail, which runs directly from the centre of Colombo. The extensive public bus system in Colombo does run to the airports, but you may prefer to hire a taxi to Bandaranaike Airport, which will take only 13 minutes from Colombo city centre via the new, high-speed Katunayake Expressway.
