George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is the busiest airport in the Houston area. It is located approximately 22 miles from downtown. Ellington Field (EFD) is an airport that is located south of Houston and is a joint civilian and military airport. It is the site of the annual Wings Over Houston Air Show as well.

Airport Transportation in Houston

One popular option is to take the shuttle service to George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which will pick you up from any destination. It is also available for return trips. The bus to Houston airport is called the Houston Metro and is available at Terminal C of the George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Taxis to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport are also available. While there is no train to Houston Airports, many hotels and motels offer courtesy van service.
