Arriving in Chengdu

Set amid forests and bodies of water, Chengdu is a miracle of historical preservation mixed with progressive planning. Book your flights to Chengdu with Etihad Airways and get ready to embark on an adventure into Chinese culture and excitement that few other cities in China can match.

Plan Your Chengdu Visit

There are countless reasons to travel to Chengdu. Marvel at the Leshan Giant Buddha, the world’s largest Buddha statue, cut directly into a wall of red rock. Wander through the Huanglong Scenic Area considered by some to be "A Fairyland on Earth.” Get lost in Chengdu history in one of its many ancient towns. Indulge in a Chinese feast provided by one of Chengdu’s renowned restaurants. Be enthralled at a Sichuanese opera performance.

The peak season in Chengdu runs from March through May. We recommend you reserve your tickets to Chengdu several months in advance if you wish to travel during this busy part of the year. To find cheap hotels in Chengdu, consider travelling in the off-season (December through February) when weather conditions are not as sunny but crowds much smaller. Make sure to visit our Deals section to find flight deals to Chengdu throughout the year.

Major Airports In Porto

Porto is served by the Francisco de Sa Carneiro Airport, which is located 11 km from the city centre. Francisco de Sa Carneiro Airport is presently the 2nd busiest airport in the country, and was voted the 3rd Best Airport in Europe in 2011.

Airport Transportation In Porto

The most convenient ground transportation in the city is the Porto Metro, which provides a train to Francisco de Sa Carneiro Airport, but also links that facility to a number of notable landmarks in Porto, including the Estádio do Dragão and the Sao Bento Rail Station. The train takes half an hour to arrive at the airport from the city. Porto also has an extensive bus network that will allow travellers to take a bus to Francisco de Sa Carneiro Airport. Alternatively, travellers can obtain a taxi to Francisco de Sa Carneiro Airport, though given the abundance of cheaper and more convenient transport methods, we recommend travellers stick to the Porto Metro.

Choose Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, for flights from Porto to Chengdu on which you will be travelling in comfort and style.
