Major Airports in Zambia

Lusaka International Airport (LUN) has been recently renamed and is now known as Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. It is located roughly eight miles from Lusaka city centre. The airport houses a bank, a newsagent, a duty free shop, a pharmacy and a restaurant. Another major airport in Zambia is Livingstone Airport (LVI) which recently also had its name changed. It is now known as Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport and it is the closest airport to Victoria Falls.

Airport Transportation in Zambia

A taxi to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport is usually the safest and most reliable mode of transportation. It typically takes between 15 and 20 minutes to arrive at the departure terminal from Lusaka city centre. You can also catch a mini bus to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport or to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport. There are no specific schedules, but the fare is cheap. There is also a bus which operates between the two airports. There is no train to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport or to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport.
