Major Airports in Proserpine

Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) is the regional airport serving the whole Whitsunday region. It is the main airport for Proserpine and northern Queensland and functions as a transit destination for the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsunday Islands. The airport is about 14km south of Proserpine and 40km away from the very attractive and popular Airlie Beach resort. The airport facilities include car hire, ATM, a kiosk and plenty of parking spaces.

It is possible to take a pre-booked airport shuttle bus to Whitsunday Coast Airport and the journey time is approximately 10 minutes. Shuttle buses are organised so that a bus to Whitsunday Coast Airport covers every flight arrival and departure. There is a regular train to Whitsunday Coast Airport from Proserpine railway station, Airlie Beach and Proserpine.

If time is an issue a taxi to Whitsunday Coast Airport is the best option. There is an airport taxi transit service operating daily to Whitsunday Coast Airport and Airlie Beach.
